Ravi Kaimal is an Architect with over 20 years of experience in the field of Architecture, construction, real estate and interiors. With a practice based in New Delhi, India, Kaimal has been professionally engaged by a wide spectrum of clients from large multinational corporations and eminent individuals to respected non-governmental agencies. Kaimal has advised on real estate matters including site selection, commercial property evaluation and customized advisories for each client. His architectural projects span a range of types from private residences to industrial structures to schools and commercial projects. Geographically these projects are spread across the major regions of India and in other countries. Current and recent projects include large new townships and IT parks / SEZ.
Kaimal is the Founding Partner of the firm of KCA (Kaimal Chatterjee and Associates). He is a registered architect with the Council of Architects in India, and an Associate of the Indian Institute of Architects. Ravi Kaimal is the India representative of CIMA, the New York based organization of architects.
Ravi's interests and experience extend beyond architecture to photography and art direction for films. As Chairman of an educational charitable trust, he is also deeply involved with educational institutions and initiatives in rural areas. Since graduation from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi in 1987, Ravi had traveled extensively photographing places of architectural and environmental significance. He has received a UNESCO award for heritage conservation for his work in Rajasthan.

Sudeshna Chatterjee
Sudeshna Chatterjee is an architect and urban designer and a Partner at KCA. Sudeshna's research-based practice focuses on humanizing urban environments across the world particularly in rapidly urbanizing cities. Sudeshna is the urban design consultant for Naya Raipur, the new capital city of Chhattisgarh. Sudeshna is also considered an international expert in research and design of children's environments. In her architectural practice, Sudeshna specializes in schools, institutional campuses, and housing with a strong focus on environmental sustainability.
In all her work Sudeshna tries to create a good people-environment fit to make people-friendly and environment friendly places. She integrates the learning's from design and planning research to inform her work. Sudeshna has lectured in several different international forums on urban design, urban development and issues related to humanizing cities. She has presented papers on her research and practice in leading international conferences in the US, Europe and Asia. Sudeshna is a research affiliate of the 'Children, Youth and Environments Center for Research and Design' at the University of Colorado in Boulder, USA and a visiting faculty in departments of Urban Design and Urban Planning in the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi.
Sudeshna received her undergraduate degree in Architecture and a best final year design thesis award in 1996 from Jadavpur University in Calcutta. She received her graduate degree in Urban Design, a gold medal for being the best student in Urban Design and the first T. J. Manickam gold medal for the best thesis among all graduate and under graduate departments in the academic year 1997-98 from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi. Sudeshna completed her PhD in Community and Environmental Design from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA in 2006. Sudeshna's PhD dissertation was selected by NC State University as the best international dissertation in Fine Arts and Humanities in 2006-2007.
