Hospitals
KCA’s hospital design incorporates the new spatial relations according to current hospital models that treat patients and families more as guests than clients, and provides public spaces to act as community meeting places. This approach to hospital design reduces the perceived isolation between patient and hospital and the hospital within the community.
One of the guiding principles of our hospital design work is to communicate care through all aspects of design. Our research shows that a well-cared for and well-designed environment not only enhances the perception of "being cared for" in users but also adds to their sense of well being.
